Job coaching It is well documented that with the right job matching, training and support, individuals with diverse needs can be successful in their employment. The job coach will analyse the place of employment to check for its suitability in terms of matching special needs clients’ strengths and interests. While the job is matched, the job coach is to provide and facilitate on and off job support so that the individual will be successful in their employment.
Counselling and support for Parents Most of us underestimate the stress and the anxiety of the parents of children with diverse needs. We encourage these parents to seek counselling to come to terms with their grief of the diagnosis and the challenges of raising a child with different needs. During counselling, tips and strategies on coping with child will be shared. Counselling will also help parents to develop resilience and hopefully become an advocate for their child and their family.
Parent support group It accomplishes many purposes with the main aim of introducing families to others like themselves so the parents know that they are not alone. Through the support group, many find much-needed information and emotional support. Many parents will find their children benefit most when parents themselves are becoming confident as a result of them attending a support group.
